GATE 2011 Application Forms

GATE Exam is conducted for those aspirants, who are seeking their admission in postgraduate level courses in the various branches of Engineering/Technology/Science/Pharmacy/Architecture, offered by various institutes/universities in India. The entrance test is also known as Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. GATE 2011 will be conducted under the administration of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, on behalf of the National Coordinating Board of GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) Government of India.

Students can apply for GATE 2011 either online or offline. Candidates who want to appear for GATE 2011 should register themselves by following the procedure given below.

GATE 2011 Online Application Forms

• Students can obtain GATE 2011 application forms online, by logging on to the official website of the participating institutes.
• To apply for GATE 2011 online, one has to choose one out of the two payment options i.e. Gateway payment or Challan payment.
• The candidates have to fill up the online application form and take print out of the same.
• The duly filled application form along with the required documents should be sent to the appropriate authority, either by registered post or speed post.

GATE 2011 Application Forms can be obtained in person from

• The students, who want to apply through offline mode for GATE 2011, can get the application form from the designated bank branches corresponding to each zone.
• The applicants can obtain GATE 2011 application form on cash payment or over the counter, from Zonal GATE Office after handing over a DD for relevant amount.
• The applicants have to fill the application form and send it along with required documents, by registered post or speed post, to the relevant authority.

• Qualifying degree certificates
• Disability Certificate (if applicable)
