K S Institute of Technology (KSIT) was established in 1999 and affiliated to Visveswaraiah Technological University (VTU). It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is located at Kanakapura Main Road, Bangalore. It offers degree courses of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering. KSIT is among the top most preferred engineering colleges among aspiring students within Karnataka and all over the country. KSIT was started by “Kammavari Sangham”, a multi-activity non-profit organization, established in 1952 to provide charitable service to the society. It has also started K S polytechnic college. The Kammavari Sangham also started Kammavari Credit Co-operative Society to circulate deposits and finance enterprises. It also provides free hostel facility and scholarship to the deserving and needy students in the society. Sangham has also established a modern hospital in Bangalore with the latest diagnostic and treatment services.

Facilities and Extra-Curricular Activities

KSIT provides state-of-art infrastructure and facilities for its students and faculty. KSIT campus spread over an area of 11 acres of land. It provides hostel facility for accommodating boys and girls separately. There are single occupant room, 2 and 3 occupant rooms, 4 occupant rooms with varying fees. College has its own 4 buses for students to pick and drop them from various regions. Its computer labs are well-equipped with wireless LAN, fast speed Internet facility with dedicated leased line. Library of KSIT has volume of 17240 national and international journals, big collection of books on various subjects, magazines, newspapers etc. KSIT has laboratories for each of its department well-equipped with latest equipments and apparatus.

KSIT actively organizes various extra-curricular activities, event and encourage its student to take part in them. Students of KSIT have won various prizes in events, competitions. Students of KSIT have done various live projects in association with industry executives.

KSIT has organized VTU tournaments like Kabaddi, Basketball and Swimming etc. and won cash prize for their achievements in sports activities. Department of Science and Humanities of KSIT organize Science Fest for students to showcase their skills and talent. There are many events are organized for hostel students to cheer their stay away from their home.

The Student Development Program works on every aspect of student personality, intellectual depth to handle the challenges of complexity, globalization and rapid change in industry, which help them to develop interpersonal, technical and various business and industrial skills. Faculty of KSIT is attending Wipro Mission 10X under the faculty development programme organized by Wipro Technologies.

Placement Department organizes various interaction sessions with professionals from different universities for higher education in abroad. Trainers are provided to guide in competitive exams like CAT, GMAT, and Aptitude etc. Many students from KSIT opted for the higher education in abroad.
