Revana Siddeshwara Institute of Technology

Revana Siddeshwara Institute of Technology (RSIT) was established in 1997. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) Belgaum and approved by AICTE New Delhi. It is located at Chokkanahalli, Chikkajala Banglore. It offers degree course in Computer science engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering and postgraduate course of MBA under the respective departments.

Facilities in college

RSIT has well-equipped laboratories for each of its department. Its computer department has Data Structure, Programming, Analysis and Design Algorithms, RDBMS, Internet technologies, Networking Technologies and Microprocessor labs. And Electronics, Mechanical and Information Technology Departments also have many laboratories under them. College Library has vast collection of various text books, reference books and journals on various subjects. It also subscribed to e-journals via INDEST-AICTE consortium ASCE, ASME, IEL. Library is fully computerized including online public accesses catalogue. College is provided with physical director for sports and games activities, transport department to handle the transport related work and issues and health department to take care of health issues of students and faculty. College has well-maintained and well-furnished hostels for boys and girls with facilities like TV, music, Reading room, and mess facility for hygienic and wholesome food for students.

Placement cell in college

Placement cell of RSIT is dedicated to provide best placements to its meritorious students in various MNCs across the world. Cell is provided with Hi-tech facilities of seminar hall, which can accommodate 200 students, 10 Group discussion room and interview hall etc. RSIT has an excellent placement record. So far 70 % of its students have been placed in various coveted organizations. Cell is working hard to take this record to 100% placements. Experienced and Qualified Placement officer interacts with various executives of industries on regular basis and most of the companies are invited to the campus for on-campus placement drive to recruit the students of RSIT.

Various companies in which the students of RSIT are placed include IBM, Wipro, GE, Sonata Software, Robert Bosch, Secon GSD, Sunrise Computers, Siemen software, Nichie software solution, Integra software carritor, Tyco Electronics etc.
