Engineering studies in India

Engineering studies in India
Engineering is the field of study of adopting and applying scientific, mathematical, economic, social, and theoretical knowledge to design and make structures, systems, and processes that provide solutions and satisfy the needs of society. Socially and economically Engineering is one of the preferred streams in our education system. It is also the most preferred career option among the students after intermediate (10+2) studies. India is a developing country. Growing industries and technical knowledge are the main pillars of this development; therefore skilled professionals to fulfill the aforesaid requirement are in great demand.

Eligibility Criteria for Engineering Course
Students aspiring for engineering as a career option must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum cut-off percentage set by individual engineering institutes and colleges and must get a good rank in common entrance test held at national level or at college level as approved by AICTE.

Entrance Tests for Engineering
To enroll in any of the recognized engineering college, student must have given an entrance test for engineering. There are many entrance exam held at national level or college level, it depends on college and AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) terms and regulations that which entrance test scores are considered for entry in to the engineering college.
Some of the top entrance exams for engineering are as follows:

Scope of Engineering Discipline in India
Technical Education and hence knowledge has a major contribution to the overall education system. Engineering Studies are the foundation of all developmental activities. If we see from a basic activity like manufacturing of agricultural equipment to industrial automation, space technology the engineering field plays a vital role into all technological advancements and developments. Technical advancement is the driving force for one’s own advancement and its own country. Since India is in its development phase it requires professionals with technical skills which can contribute their knowledge for the development of country and as per the rule of demand and supply there is a great demand of engineers with sound knowledge of their subject theoretical as well practical and so is their remuneration. Engineering is not a field of short term it has a wide scope whether it is civil, mechanical or electronics or computers. Engineering is good field to float in but one should have to achieve expertise in his/ her subject with thorough study and experience.
