Master of International Business (MIB)

­­­Master of International Business is a postgraduate degree intended to acquire the potentials and assets of managers in the worldwide economy. The master of international business program furnishes management with the skills adapted with international business environment to emphasize the practical application of specialized knowledge.

The Master of International Business focuses on importance of planning for international procedures and provides complete understanding of the organizational capabilities required for international procedures, which includes international marketing, finance and human resource management as specialized functions also.

Master of international business degree is considered as MBA degree with complete focus on multinational corporations. It is abbreviated as MIB.

Eligibility criteria for the admission in masters of international business is to have an undergraduate degree in any subject field, experience of full time job with international exposure for 2 years, and a valid GMAT or GRE score.

To enroll in master of International Business degree from distance learning, candidates require having a bachelor degree in any subject field. Some of the distance learning centres give admission to that student who has work experience. Students with successful CAT (Common Admission Test) scores are considered eligible for admissions to MIB from distance learning. There are many Business schools that conduct their own entrance exam for the selection of students for admission in MIB from distance learning.

The course structure of MIB is mocked up of that of the MBA program. The course generally comprises of 16 subjects and offered as 2 years of full time study or 4 years of part time study to complete the full course. Students who meet certain requirements perhaps undertake the degree as a 12 subject program. In such a case, there will be an exception of completion of full course within 18 months of full time study or 3 years of part time study.

In many business schools international business and international marketing is taught as part of the MBA curriculum. A number of universities offer the degree of Masters of international business (MIB) for the successful career in international business and foreign trade.
